Tanzania ready for SGR services launch between Dar es Salaam and Dodoma on July 25
Tanzania Railways Corporation (TRC) is set to introduce the Standard Gauge Railway (SGR) express train on July 5, and the Minister fro transport has expressed satisfaction with the readiness for the launch of SGR services from Dar es Salaam to Dodoma.On Wednesday, July 3, 2024, Prof. Makame Mbarawa, accompanied by experts from the Ministry of Transport and TRC officials, toured the SGR to assess its readiness and ensure compliance with President Samia Suluhu Hassan’s directives for full operationalization.

Sensex, Nifty, Share Prices LIVE: India’s equity benchmarks BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty50 hit record highs in early trade on Tuesday, led by information technology stocks, which continued to rise on renewed hopes of an interest rate cut by the US Federal Reserve in September. However, the indices lost the momentum and were trading flat at 10.34 am. JK Paper (11.17%), Solar Industries (9.13%), Wockhardt (8.66%) and Godrej Agrovet (8.27%) were among the major gainers on the BSE, while Angel One (-7.78%), Share India Securities (-3.69%), Motilal Oswal (-3.49%), Max Health (-3.25%) and Home First Finance (-3.15%) were the major laggards.
